Back pain is very common and very easy to prevent. A surprising number of people are unaware that simply performing some simple exercises can reduce the intensity and frequency of their back pain episodes. Most of these simple exercises are probably done every day by people who never have problems, but it is not until they notice the difference that they do anything about it.
So the first thing that you need to do if you think you may be suffering from back pain is to look at your back and perform some simple exercises. People who have trouble with their back do not realize that lifting heavy objects or doing back exercises can cause back pain. The muscles in the back get tensed up and cause a person to strain their back, which in turn puts a strain on the muscles in the legs, as well as the abdominal area.
One of the most effective simple exercises is to try and imagine you are trying to lift one of your shoes. If you imagine that you are lifting it from the bottom, then you are pulling it down towards your feet. It is the pulling down action that causes your back to tighten.
So what you want to do is get a lighter weight for your toes. I am talking about using a pair of rubber bands. Using rubber bands instead of your normal everyday weight will help to prevent your muscles from getting tight and causing more pain.
Once you have your rubber bands, put them around your top leg. They are tight on your leg and are helping to stabilize your back. You can feel the muscles in your back get stronger as you work your way down to your foot.
Now you want to do the same stretch on your back and feel how much better your back feels after. What you want to do now is continue on your way and when you come to an intersection, stop. Now take a deep breath and release all tension in your back muscles. This is what your body needs to do in order to allow it to walk normally.
Your feet are already supporting you now and this simple exercise should help to keep you from straining your back again. However, this is only a small part of the whole exercise and you want to do this regularly.
The next exercise you can do to help with your back pain is going to involve stretching various body parts of your body. You will want to stretch all of your shoulders, neck, hips, and legs. If you do this regularly you will find that your back pain will start to dissipate.
Another small order of exercises will include both your stomach and your lower back. This is another place where most people neglect their back and this is a mistake that is easily made by doing simple exercises.
To stretch your back out you will want to take a big breath and try to exhale while doing some hip movements. This is an exercise that stretches across all of your muscles in your back. Take note that if you are a bigger person you may need to take two breaths.
So if you want to get rid of your back pain then I would like to encourage you to do some simple stretches. Now you do not have to spend hours in the gym every day, but you do not want to sit there for endless hours either.
